Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you request HVAC service from ProActive HVAC.
These terms govern your use of this website and the HVAC services provided by ProActive Heating & Air Conditioning ("we," "our," or "us"). By contacting us or requesting service, you agree to the terms below. Specific work is governed by the written proposal, estimate, or invoice provided for that job.
Services
ProActive Heating & Air Conditioning provides heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration services for residential and commercial customers, including repair, replacement, installation, and maintenance of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, ductless systems, walk-in coolers, and indoor air quality equipment. We are licensed in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Delaware.
Estimates, Quotes and Approvals
Written estimates describe the work, equipment, and pricing for your approval before work begins. If a diagnosis reveals additional work is needed beyond the approved estimate, we will discuss it with you and get your approval before proceeding. Prices quoted are valid for the period stated on the estimate.
Scheduling and Access
Appointment times are scheduled on a first-come basis, and emergency situations are prioritized as staffing allows. You agree to provide safe access to the equipment, work areas, and utilities needed to perform the service at the scheduled time.
Payment
Payment is due as stated on your invoice or proposal. For financed or program-based purchases, financing is subject to the terms and approval of the financing provider, not ProActive HVAC. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice.
Equipment Warranties and Service Work
New equipment carries the warranty offered by its manufacturer, and warranty terms are provided with the equipment documentation. Any warranty on our labor is as stated in your written proposal or invoice. Warranties generally require that the equipment be operated and maintained as specified by the manufacturer; damage from misuse, unauthorized repair, or lack of recommended maintenance is not covered.
Website Use
The content, images, and branding on this website belong to ProActive Heating & Air Conditioning and may not be copied or reused for commercial purposes without written permission. Information on this site — including maintenance tips and service descriptions — is general in nature and is not a substitute for an on-site diagnosis by a qualified HVAC technician.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for claims arising from services performed is limited to the amounts you paid us for the work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for pre-existing conditions of equipment or property not caused by our work.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page reflects the current terms.
